Despite the pressures of work, Deshamanya Dr Lalith Kotelawala finds the time to be actively and passionately involved in propagating the peace initiative towards resolving the ethnic crisis in the country. In recognition of his efforts, the Government of Sri Lanka has bestowed on him, the title of "Deshamanya".
